Petal Dusts

Petal dusts are food grade colours used to add highlights to your moulded sugar decorations. They are usually lightly dusted on after the moulded item has dried out.  This gives a soft colour effect and creates more dimension. If however, you would like a deeper colour, you can add a small amount of water or clear alcohol to create a 'paint' with more depth.

Tips

• Choices of clear alcohol can either be gin or vodka. 

• When using water or alcohol with petal dust, mix together in a separate small container ie. egg cup or shot glass. 

• Keep fluid to a minimum, just enough to make paste paint.
